CUBS: What we’ve been up to recently

Well, we did it! We survived a whole year together and celebrated some awesome achievements in that time. We worked through the alphabet with all of the things we discovered, enjoyed and explored, welcomed Beavers who swam up, said a fond farewell to Cubs who moved up to Scouts, gained new Leaders and Assistants and 6 of our members gained their Chief Scout Silver Awards- 4 of them presented together in Bank Street Gardens at the end of the Summer term.

From Archery to Wellbeing and Yoga, we even got some Z’s at our Harry Potter goes to Antarctica sleepover. We walked for WaterAid, picked litter and raised money for Scouts in Madagascar, we celebrated UK Parliament Week and learnt about democracy. Together we worked on instruments and made music, made friends in other countries and learned more about ourselves and working in our Sixes.

Alongside our badges earned, our ACSL Jeremy gained his 5 Year Long Service Award and our Cub Scout Leader Kat gained her Wood Beads at the AGM. We were also one of the first 100 Sections to gain our Foundation Youth Approved Award in Scotland! We’re awesome- and we are always waiting and ready to accept new members and helpers who can share their skills and time with us

Yours in Scouting
